Projects involving complex utility systems require multiple sources of highly skilled labor. When constructing their new water treatment plant, the Rathbun Rural Water Association knew they needed a construction manager with a background in general contracting capable of managing a diverse building team. They called on The Hansen Company, Inc.

We provided construction management services from pre-construction through the end of the project.

The facility features a 20-inch parallel raw water intake line, a new clearwell and high service pump station with water line connection to both existing clearwell and distribution system, and the construction of two super-pulsators and four dual medial filters with filter waste flume walls. This facility serves 13 counties in southern Iowa.
